From the beginning

What does this mean to you. The passage is from Genesis 2:

20 ... But for Adam no suitable helper was found.

21 So the LORD God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man's ribs and closed up the place with flesh.

22 Then the LORD God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man.

23 The man said,
"This is now bone of my bones
and flesh of my flesh;
she shall be called 'woman,
for she was taken out of man."

24 For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh.

I believe that it represents how that the Lord God realized that man needed help so he gave him a women (help meat) to help him through life. Knowing that HELP means someone by your side there to help you at all times with whatever is needed. Now with saying that the one that is receiving help is the one leading. The leader takes responsibilities of everything making sure that everything is going according to the will of the Father. Also with verse 24 showing how when the man and woman are joined together as one (marriage) they are to put first God then each other then parents fall next and so on. That is why I don’t understand how some woman when they get married they say o you aint my daddy. Well they right and all but they missing the part where he now has more rights that her biological father. That lets you see right there why we need to read the bible and get a good understanding of what God would have us to do. But don’t get confused the Old Testament is for past examples of what went on. But now we are under a New and better Law (The New Testament). It tells us how to live the life that God would have us to. In saying that you can find the same thing about marriage in Ephesians 5:22-33.
